More about ResolutionsWe can scan slides (and negatives) at up to 4000dpi, but 900dpi is more than adequate for viewing on your TV or Computer. You cannot see any difference between a 900dpi and a 4000dpi image on your TV (or computer screen). Higher resolutions are needed when you wish to print the images. Our standard resolution (900dpi) will print a very high quality image at 15x10cm (6x4 inches).
You can get an idea of print sizes and the resolutions needed to achieve them here Some other companies do not use scanners that are as good as ours, so even if you get the images at a higher resolution, they will not be as crisp or show as much detail as ours. We provide a free trial ( click here ) so you can see what your slides will look like at 900dpi and compare our quality with anyone else you may have come across. Scanning at higher resolutions takes longer and so we have to charge more. If you have a specific resolution that you would like, just let us know how many slides (or negatives) you have and we will give you our best quote. Hope this clears things up ... if not please don't hesitate to let us know. All text and images © SlidesOnDVD.com.au 2004-8 |
